Ukraine’s 2023 Offensive Failed. The Warmongers Are Talking Up 2024

It’s almost impossible for Americans to know what’s going on in the Ukraine War. The reason is simple. Legacy media outlets such as the Washington Post, New York Times, NBC, CBS, ABC and their cable affiliates have been lying about it non-stop.

The narrative is that Russian forces are depleted, demoralized and will crumble at the first sign of the famous “Ukrainian Counteroffensive” which is now ongoing. The reality is that it is the Ukrainians who are been slaughtered like cattle and are deserting on the front lines.

The Russians are dug in along three concentric lines of heavy fortifications. The Ukrainian counteroffensive has been fighting in the so-called gray zone between the Ukrainian and Russian front lines but has not even reached the first Russian perimeter (and is unlikely ever to do so).

American and NATO-supplied Leopard tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles have been left burning on the battlefield. American weapons systems have been total failures, including $1 billion Patriot anti-missile batteries blown up by Russian hypersonic missiles and HIMARS precision-guided artillery that is completely ineffective because the Russians know how to jam the guidance systems.

So, what do the mainstream media do in the face of this harsh reality that contradicts their happy talk narrative? They change the narrative.

The new narrative is “Wait until 2024!” The idea is that the current Ukrainian attack may be failing but with more weapons, more training, and more experience, Ukraine will be able to launch another offensive in the spring of 2024 that will accomplish what the spring 2023 offensive failed to do.

This is pure fantasy, but it has a purpose. The conduct of the war is no longer about winning in Ukraine; that’s a lost cause. The conduct is about winning the presidential election in 2024 for Joe Biden.

Any surrender or peace negotiation today or later this year would reveal Biden’s total failure in Ukraine on top of his earlier failure in the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Biden’s goal is to keep the war going, keep the narrative going, get reelected, and then stab Ukraine in the back after the 2024 election. That’s the Biden way. And the media will obediently play along.
