The Counterrevolution Has Begun!

The past two years have been hard for Americans who believe in traditional values.

If you consider George Washington to be a great military leader and president, there’s someone ready to accuse him of white privilege. If you consider Teddy Roosevelt a model president, builder of the Panama Canal, and founder of the National Park System, there’s someone demanding to remove his statue from the entrance to the American Museum of Natural History in New York. If you want your children to learn to read, write, and do math in elementary school, there’s a teacher who wants to indoctrinate them with Critical Race Theory, transgenderism, queer ideology, and other garbage. (I don’t care what adults do on their own but leave the kids out of it).

Climate alarmism is another topic for elementary school indoctrination. There’s no evidence that CO₂ hurts the environment; it’s actually plant food, and we exhale it all day long.

Real climate change is a long-term process controlled by sun cycles, ocean currents, and volcanic ash. But the Green New Scammers want to abolish efficient fuels like gasoline, natural gas, and clean burning coal. Schools bang the drum for windmills, solar panels, and electric vehicles (EVs) that are non-scalable, non-feasible, and unreliable alternatives.

While these ideologies are dressed up in rhetoric about racism, sexism and “climate change deniers”, the truth is the exponents are just old-fashioned neo-Marxists who hate America and keep coming up with new ways to tear her down. Is there any hope? Actually, yes.

The new Republican majority in the House of Representatives is finally showing some spine. Typically, Democrats run the country down and Republicans have a go-along, get-along attitude that may not make things worse but does not make things better. That’s changing.

This article offers a good example. For 230 years from 1789 to 2019, each political party would select from among its members to sit on committees. The majority controlled the gavel and had more seats than the minority, but the minority at least got to pick the members who would occupy the minority seats.

Nancy Pelosi changed this beginning in 2020. She kicked Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene from all committees because of her efforts to impeach Joe Biden. Pelosi also rejected Republican nominees for the January 6 Commission so that only Republicans who hated Trump like Liz Cheney could participate.

Now, turnabout is fair play. The Republicans just kicked Democrats Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and Ilhan Omar off the intelligence and foreign affairs committees. Schiff is a serial liar who touted the fake Steele dossier. Swalwell slept with a Chinese spy and helped her escape arrest. Oman is an anti-Semite who married her brother to evade immigration and tax laws.

Good riddance. Maybe the tide is turning on America-hating ideologues.
