RFK Jr’s Campaign Said to Give Democrats “The Jitters”. Rightly So.

Here’s the key question for Democrats at this early stage of the 2024 election cycle.

On the one hand, they regard Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as some kind of fringe candidate or worse. They talk about his past environmental activism and anti-vaccine positions as being kooky and unacceptable (never mind that no one is more extreme on climate alarmism than the Biden White House). They treat RFK Jr. as an annoyance, not to be taken seriously.

At the same time, as reported in this article, Democrat operatives are getting “the jitters” thinking about a Kennedy candidacy opposing Joe Biden in the Democratic primaries. Well, which is it?

If Kennedy is out on the fringe, then there’s not much to worry about. On the other hand, if Kennedy is making Democrats nervous, then he must be doing something right.

The truth is the latter. Kennedy is polling as high as 36% among Democrats. That’s comparable to what Eugene McCarthy was polling in 1968 when he had a strong finish in the New Hampshire primary. Shortly after that showing, Lyndon Johnson withdrew from the race and Bobby Kennedy (RFK, Jr.’s father) jumped in.

A 36% polling result is not fringe; it’s a direct threat to Biden. RFK, Jr.’s views on vaccines are no longer considered fringe either. After being lied to for years about the so-called COVID “vaccines” (which are not vaccines, don’t stop infection, don’t stop the spread, and have deadly side effects), Americans are much more open to RFK Jr.’s warnings.

And in some recent interviews, Kennedy expressed views that are solidly conservative. He said he supports the Second Amendment and opposes more extreme gun control legislation.

Kennedy said he lived in rural areas most of his life and understands the importance and utility of guns to most Americans. He says the solution to mass shootings should begin by studying the impact of psychotropic medications on adolescents and teenagers, the excessive time spent on violent video games, and broken homes as possible causes. I agree.

Kennedy is a liberal of the old school. That means he’s reasonable and open to debate. He’s not for everyone but he’s a nice change from the Biden warmongering, climate alarmism, and woke posturing. The Democrat-woke establishment should have the jitters.

Kennedy will shine in the debates (Biden won’t show up) and win the New Hampshire primary (Biden won’t run there). The more Biden tries his basement strategy, the stronger Kennedy will get. This is starting to get interesting.
