Cuomo Lied And 15,000 Died

The COVID-19 pandemic would be bad enough if, in addition to the illness and fatalities, we only had to endure quarantines, facemasks, social distancing, and the shut-down of small businesses such as restaurants, bars, salons, boutique shops, and sporting events. But it has turned out to be worse than that.

In addition to the disease and bad public policy (the evidence is clear that lockdowns don’t work), we have had to deal with a steady stream of official lies from multiple sources.

In January 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) said there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission of the virus. That was a lie. In February 2020, Dr. Anthony Fauci said that the virus would be contained in China and would not be a problem for the U.S. That was a lie. Fauci also said that facemasks don’t work, hydroxychloroquine is not an effective treatment and schools could not reopen safely. Those were all lies.

In fact, schoolchildren have a greater chance of catching COVID-19 at home than they do among other schoolchildren. The incidence of COVID-19 in Africa is far less than experts predicted because hydroxychloroquine is routinely taken in Sub-Saharan Africa for malaria and it works to minimize the impact of COVID. U.S. experts said the opposite.

Governors from Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan to Gavin Newsom in California all said that lockdowns were needed to stop the spread of the virus when the evidence is overwhelming that lockdowns do not stop the spread of the virus. More lies.

Perhaps the worst lies of all came from Governor Andrew Cuomo in New York. Cuomo signed two orders in March and April 2020 that required nursing homes and adult care facilities to admit infected COVID sufferers. This was a requirement, not an option.

It was not necessary because alternative facilities for the infected were available, including a temporary hospital built in the Javits Center on the West Side of Manhattan.

Residents of nursing homes and adult care facilities are rated as those most likely to be infected with COVID because of their age and co-morbidities such as asthma and diabetes. It is estimated that over 15,000 nursing home patients died as a direct result of being exposed to COVID patients due to Governor Cuomo’s order.

Today, many communities will not take the new COVID vaccines because they don’t trust what authorities are telling them about the side effects and safety of the vaccine. That lack of trust is not surprising considering how many times citizens have been lied to by officials since this pandemic began.
