Can Biden’s Public Policies Get Any More Ridiculous?

We’ve tracked so many ridiculous Biden administration policies over the past three years that one would think the list couldn’t get any longer or more absurd. But that’s an incorrect conclusion. As the 1950s DJs used to say, “The hits just keep on coming!”

Biden has proposed banning natural gas stoves, mandating electronic vehicles (EVs), forgiving up to $1 trillion in student loans (that you and I have to pay for in the form of higher government debt and higher taxes), building windmills that don’t work, subsidizing solar panels that can’t provide baseline power to the grid, and more. Many of these policies have been ruled illegal by the courts but the Biden administration just presses ahead anyway without regard to the courts.

Of course, there’s no better example of reckless and ridiculous policy than destroying the border of the United States with Mexico. It’s beyond the point of saying there’s an open border. There’s actually no border at all.

The Biden team seem to realize their days may be numbered and their time is up in January 2025 when a new administration may take over. So, they are rushing to create as many new regulations as they can in the meantime.

The new rule reported in this article takes the cake. Biden has ordered all federal employees to use “green transportation” options for all official business. This means taking public transportation instead of driving to work. It means riding bicycles or electric scooters instead of taxis or UBER rides.

Part of the regulation suggests that federal employees not take business trips at all. The White House says, “These operations changes will accelerate the clean transportation transformation.” That’s ridiculous.

When you ride the subway, it’s powered by electricity which probably comes from a coal or diesel burning plant. When you ride an electric scooter, its battery was changed by the grid, which is also powered by coal or possibly natural gas.

Switching modes of transportation does not reduce the electrical energy required. It just moves the source of the energy from the gas tank of your car to the power grid itself. No energy is saved, and one method is not “cleaner” than another once you trace the energy to the source.

The real intention is to destroy the internal combustion engine and the automobile industry in pursuit of nonsensical green scams. Hopefully, the Biden administration will be gone by January 2025. If not, the U.S. economy may be gone not long after.
