Biden Goes to Ukraine. Cue The Air Raid Sirens!
It’s extremely difficult to find the truth about the War in Ukraine.
The first reason for this is because … it’s a war. Wars are always difficult to gauge in real-time. Reporters are in the line of fire, and it’s not always easy to convey facts to audiences, even with 21st-century technology.
Fighters on the battle lines often don’t know what’s going on. They may know what their position is and what is confronting them at the moment, but they don’t know the overall battlespace of even if their side is winning or losing a particular battle.
Commanding officers don‘t know much more. They are getting reports from many subordinates and points of contact, and those reports are often fragmentary and contradictory. The phrase “fog of war” was invented to convey the uncertainty and imprecision about the progress of any particular war.
Still, there’s another reason the War in Ukraine is confusing for so many. It’s because the Ukrainian propaganda effort is one of the most astonishingly effective concoctions of lies ever seen. This might be expected given that President Zelensky is a former actor and comedian. He’s used to the media stage and making up scenes for the audience.
Zelensky is backed up by a small army of media advisors and amplified by persuasive liars, including President Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and outlets like the New York Times.
Remember the photos of attractive women in camouflage holding M-4 automatic rifles and preparing to defend Ukraine in the early days of the war? I thought to myself, “Wow, those soldiers look like Vogue models.” It turns out they were Vogue models dressed up as soldiers as part of a propaganda campaign.
Zelensky, the Times and most of the Western media have been lying about Ukraine’s efforts ever since. The latest propaganda stunt was Joe Biden’s trip to Kyiv a few days before the first anniversary of the Russian invasion. Biden made a canned speech, authorized another $500 million in weapons, and hopped back onto a train to Poland.
The propaganda pièce de résistance was when Biden and Zelensky walked into an open courtyard and the Kyiv air raid sirens began blaring. The Russians had been advised in advance that Biden would be there, and they agreed not to stage any raids during Biden’s visit.
In fact, there had been no raids for some time. No one saw any planes, drones or missiles. The sirens were just a stage effect intended to create a false sense of danger to be picked up as a soundtrack by global media.
It was no different in substance than the Vogue models with machine guns. Ukraine is losing the war badly, but you can’t blame westerners for believing otherwise. They’re all victims of the Zelensky-Ukraine propaganda machine.
Investors shouldn’t fall for the theatrics. This war will soon come to a disastrous conclusion for Ukraine and the U.S. warmongers.
