Biden Is Pushing the Worst Persecution of Catholics Since World War II

I’m Catholic and I’ve studied Church history closely. So, I’m quite familiar with the story of Catholic persecution. It’s a long one.

Of course, Catholics were persecuted to the point of death by Roman emperors in the first and second centuries AD. Some persecutions were worse than others, and certain emperors were completely bloodthirsty.

Nero (37-68 AD) fed Catholics to wild beasts in the arenas, used Catholics as human torches, and destroyed Catholic sanctuaries. St. Peter was crucified, and St. Paul was beheaded by Nero. Domitian (reign 89-96 AD) led the heaviest persecution, including feeding Catholics to beasts in the Colosseum.

Slaughters, persecutions, exiles and other punishment continued throughout the Middle Ages inflicted by Muslims, the British under Oliver Cromwell, and during the French Revolution. Notably, Catholics were killed in death camps by Adolph Hitler alongside the far more numerous Jewish victims.

Even today, Catholics are being killed in places like Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria, and elsewhere in the Middle East and Africa. The one place Catholics might consider themselves safe is the United States of America where the First Amendment says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” But that view would be wrong.

Last January, the FBI produced a memo warning about “Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology.” This memo was produced in the Richmond, Virginia office but had input from the Los Angeles field office and the Portland, Oregon field office.

As usual, the FBI had no examples to support their claims. It was all anti-Catholic bias run wild.

The giveaway is the use of the phrase “Radical-Traditionalist.” The term Traditionalist is a reference to Catholics who prefer what’s called a Tridentine Mass, which was formed in 1570 at the Council of Trent and endorsed by Pope Pius V. Its best-known feature is that it is performed in Latin.

For the record, Catholic Masses are performed daily in over 180 countries using the local language, including Latin where desired. The traditional Tridentine Mass is still approved by the Church and practiced widely.

I’ve been to Mass in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Manila, Bahrain, Argentina, Brazil, Kenya and many other countries around the world. And, yes, I’ve heard the Mass in Latin in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Does that make me a dangerous radical?

Perhaps in the eyes of the FBI the answer is yes because I hold God in higher esteem than Joe Biden.

When FBI Director Christopher Wray testified under oath about this a few months ago, he said the source of the memo was solely the Richmond field office. He lied. The participation of Los Angeles and Portland has now been confirmed.

If the FBI will sink this low to attack political opponents (if they even are opponents; many Catholics voted for Biden), they will stop at nothing when it comes to other perceived enemies. Your religion, your social clubs or your political contributions could be next in the crosshairs. Nothing is sacred to the fascist FBI.
