Ice Shelves in Antarctica Are Expanding Not Shrinking. The Ice Is Alright.

You’ve all heard the cries from the climate alarmists and green new scammers: “Wildfires are increasing because of global warming!”…“The ice is melting in Antarctica!” … “Hurricanes will destroy coastal cities!” and so on and on. These claims are cranked out by corrupt so-called scientists working on grants from global elitist foundations and are echoed by so-called journalists.

I must admit, I can’t decide if the journalists repeat these claims because they’re lazy, not very bright, or in on the scam. I keep an open mind on that. Nevertheless, all these claims are false.

Wildfires can be huge, but they always have been. There has been no significant increase in wildfires. Those that do exist can be attributed as much to mismanagement of forest brush as to any other cause.

Sea levels have been rising at a modest rate of 7 inches per 100 years. But that rate existed long before internal combustion engines and coal-fired energy plants and was not enough to flood cities and subways. At most, you might get your flip-flops wet in the 22^nd century, but even that is doubtful because such trends often reverse. (Sea levels rose 400 feet after the last Ice Age, around 10,000 years ago).

Hurricanes are neither more frequent nor more severe recently. The worst decade in the past century was in the 1940s. If property damage is rising, it’s not because of the storms but because dumb billionaires build mansions on sandbars where they don’t belong and rely on federally subsidized insurance.

In short, the climate alarm agenda is phony and is endlessly repeated by elites who want to use the issue as a Trojan Horse to get more control over global policy, money, and resources. The latest climate myth to fall is the idea that Antarctica is melting and rising sea levels will drown us all.

This report shows that the ice shelves in Antarctica are actually expanding on net. Yes, some ice shelves including the Amundsen Sea are shrinking (that’s normal), but far more areas including the Ross Sea are expanding. The net change is a substantial increase in the size of the ice shelves.

By the way, I recently returned from an expedition to Antarctica. I’m pleased to report that the whales, penguins, and seals are thriving. Climate alarm is a scam. Slowly but surely real science is catching up to the climate conmen.
