Biden’s Mind Is Adrift. So Is The White House Staff.

Biden’s physical and mental decline were apparent long before he was elected. He slurs words, can’t focus, can’t even read a teleprompter, and forgets where he is.

He can’t remember the names of his own top cabinet officers and has to be directed to the White House entrance when he’s on the White House South Lawn. His eyes are slits and offer only a blank stare. He suffers numerous signs of dementia, including inability to recall, inability to finish a thought, angry outbursts, and a strange habit of loud whispering into a microphone as if he were whispering (actually shouting) into someone’s ear.

He’s stooped over and shuffles his feet with inanimate arms hanging down at his side. He should be in some kind of assisted care facility. Instead, he’s the president, thanks to ruthless Democratic enablers and the not-too-bright media.

All of this is obvious. What’s less obvious is the effect this has on the White House staff.

In the same sense that the leader is adrift, so the staff itself is adrift, according to this article. Biden has been berating his staff about the need to improve their “messaging.” Of course, the problem is not the messaging; it’s the message.

Inflation is out of control, gas prices are soaring, food prices are soaring, shortages are everywhere, consumer confidence has collapsed, interest rates are going up, and economic growth is bordering on an outright recession.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta has reported that Q1 GDP growth was negative 1.5%, and Q2 estimated GDP growth is 0.0%. That’s tantamount to a recession now, not in the future.

With a befuddled commander-in-chief, it comes as no surprise that the staff are also confused, demoralized, and leaving in droves. On June 15, the White House Counsel, in effect the President’s personal lawyer as related to executive powers, resigned. There has been huge turnover in the communications office.

It’s even worse in Kamala Harris’s office where she has lost a series of communications staffers.

The Biden White House has been behind the curve on every policy issue and conducts disastrous policy when it does catch up. The White House is never proactive, always reactive. There’s no reason to expect any change at this point. Dysfunction is the new normal in Washington today.
