Americans Being Asked To Bow Down To Biden’s New Ministry Of Truth.

Readers of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four are familiar with the dystopian nightmare society depicted in the novel. The lead character is Winston Smith. He works for Big Brother in his Ministry of Truth, which controls news, entertainment, and education among other channels of culture and communication. Smith’s job is to “rectify” historical records so that everything that Big Brother (the party leader) says is true.

If a certain individual is treated as a hero and is later singled out as an enemy of the people, Smith finds all prior newspaper and other records mentioning the victim as a hero and feeds them into the “memory hole” which is basically an incinerator that burns the records. When Smith has done his job, there is no remaining record of the former hero.

Another government agency is the Ministry of Love, which monitors and arrests dissidents and uses torture until the victim decides to love Big Brother.

When I read this in high school (and again more recently), I took this as a cautionary tale. The U.S. Constitution was written over 160 years before Nineteen Eighty-Four, but the practices that Orwell describes were as old as dictators and tyrants and were familiar to the writers of the Constitution. Their work specifically protected against the outcomes described in Nineteen Eighty-Four, specifically the First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments to the Constitution.

The view was “it can’t happen here” because of these constitutional protections. But, it is happening here.

As reported in this article, Joe Biden has now created a Ministry of Truth, called the Disinformation Governance Board. It’s headed by an ideologue named Nina Jankowicz. She has been responsible for disseminating disinformation, including her claims that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation (it wasn’t) and that COVID did not come from a Chinese laboratory (it did).

So, as a confirmed liar, she’s perfect for Biden’s Ministry of Truth. If this seems absurd or even comical to you, it is in some ways but still needs to be taken with the utmost seriousness.

Merrick Garland’s Justice Department (aka The Ministry of Love) will punish political dissidents and Nina Jankowicz’s Ministry of Truth will identify them and hand over names.

Our constitutional protections are mostly gone. The situation might start to improve after the mid-term elections. The question is whether the U.S. will even make it that far as a free society, given the pace at which Biden is destroying freedom.
